Vietnam’s tourism sector has been hit hard by the global health crisis, the impact of which is being felt in all sectors of society and the economy. The impact of COVID-19 on the tourism industry in Vietnam is currently a major concern, because the crisis has entailed a wide range of economic dowturn and profound effects on the livelihood of citizens. The National Administration of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sport, and Tourism (MCST) requested the EUD to Vietnam for developing a five-year Inclusive Recovery Plan for Vietnam Tourism.
The assignment will involve a systematic economic assessment of how the COVID-19 crisis has affected tourism sector to develop a tourism inclusive recovery plan.
The contract is AMDI’s first assignment within the framework of contract between EUD and COWI and DMI in Vietnam.
The AMDI Team will be fielding 2 national consultants, they will cooperate with 2 international tourism epxerts to start the assignment after Tet holiday from Feb 28 to Aug 28, 2022.
